Kingston beekeepers at HCWAA

This society meets every Saturday at 3pm at the apiary in the Hampton Court Way Allotments in the summer, from March to September when the bees are buzzing. Visitors are always welcome: A glass observation hive for the curious who just want to look, a friendly atmosphere for everyone, and spare bee-suits for the brave adventurous ones who want to enter into the busy world of the honey bee. The year starts in grand style with the February Beekeepers Dinner, to tell tall stories, laugh, dream of honey and make plans for the years beekeeping.

Special events include Open Day in June, a Garden Party, Honey sales, the BBKA Convention, the National Honey Show in London, and the Christmas Pub lecture. A most popular event is extraction day; producing 200lbs of honey and lots of very sticky beekeepers.

Members get Beecraft magazine and a newsletter every month, product liability insurance and national representation from the British Beekeepers Association, Bee Disease Insurance, lots of training, help and advice from a friendly local club.We are the Kingston Division of the Surrey Beekeepers Association and affiliated to the British Beekeepers Association.
